The BMW 325i Cabrio was sold on May 30th 1990 by Dutch BMW dealer Van Ekris in Veenendaal for a price of approx. HFL 90.000. About one year later, the BMW absorbed over 21.000 kms. However, 4 years later, the counter shows only over 56.000 kms. In May 1998, again 4 years later, this was increased to just over 72.000 kms.
Around 2002 the BMW E30 Cabrio changed owner with around 84.000 kms on the counter. Then the BMW entered the hobby era with low yearly kms. Two years later, in 2004, and only after 5.000 additonals kms, the BMW got its third owner. With just over 101.000 kms, the car was bought by the current owner on March 23 2008. Since then, the Beamer drives yearly around 2.000 kms or less.
During the first years of ownership the car was maintained by BMW dealer Van Ekris. The second and third owner relied for maintenance on local garages. The BMW 325i Cabrio is now competently maintained by BMW E30 specialist E30 Parts.
This BMW 325i Cabrio is in apart from a few upgrades in it's original condition. The originally mounted cross spoke (Style 5) rims are replaced by it's current original factory wheels to give the BMW E30 Cabrio a more elegant and classic look.
In 2010 The standard manifold was replaced by a so called spaghetti manifold connected to a straight RVS exhaust pipe finishing in a RVS rear silencer. This upgrade gives the elegant car a smooth deep rumble at low revs and an exiting scream as of the famous 4.000 rpm barrier.
The folding top is the one originally mounted. After more than two decades it still 100% waterproof. The door weather rubber strips (2012) and the rubber strip of the folding top compartiment lid (2014), are replaced for functional and cosmetic reasons.
A new chrome decorating strip around the windshield and a new chrome antenna are bright and shining since 2014.
